The body of a resident of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was handed over to Pak officials on Friday at Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir,police said.
Sixty five-year old Mohmmad Zamaan died in Poonch town of J&K after a massive heart attack yesterday.
Zamaan had travelled on Poonch-Rawalakote bus from his Kotli-Hajira village in PoK on January 19 to meet his brother-in-law Mohmmad Hussain’s family in Poonch district,police said.
During a visit to a shrine in Poonch town along with Hussain,Zamaan suffered a severe heart attack and died on way to hospital,they said.
The district officials of Poonch handed over the body to PoK authorities in the presence of army officers from both sides this afternoon,they said.
Earlier Nimanzi Jinaza was offered by people at Poonch ground when the body was kept there before its journey to its native place in PoK.
