BJP election campaign committee Chairman Narendra Modi wants the party to follow the Gujarat model in preparing for 2014.

Every state unit has been asked to implement a three-pronged strategy from July 2013. Apart from the Hindi heartland comprising Uttar Pradesh,Rajasthan and Delhi, the party wants to maximise gains in north-eastern states.

Modi said party leaders should make at least three rounds of each Assembly constituency in Gujarat. The first round will be to connect with the masses and take up their concerns. In the second round, the party agenda will be highlighted and the UPA targeted, and the campaign will be taken to the doorstep of every voter in round III.

Modi wants all states to follow this. Deputy leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde said,“Modi believes in meticulous planning and takes every single aspect into consideration.”

He said,“Ravishankar Prasad and I have been asked to prepare a chargesheet against the UPA government. We are already on the job.”

BJP wants to reach the last booth in every constituency. Munde said,“In Beed district,400 workers will spread across villages five days before the polls to ensure party presence at every booth.”
