Rajnath Singh said the credit for the Lokpal Bill should go to Anna Hazare. Ahead of the coming Parliament session, he also indicated that his party would fight for the anti-corruption space, by saying it was also in favour of other legislations to counter corruption effectively.
“The BJP is of the view that the passage of the Lokpal Bill alone will not put an end to corruption. We need to ensure passage of several other Bills such as Goods and Services Guarantee Bill, Whistleblower Protection Bill and Protection of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, etc.” The UPA is planning to bring these Bills to the House for approval in the session.
