Delhi Police on Wednesday rewarded an auto rickshaw driver with Rs 25,000 for helping rescue a kidnapped child and a taxi driver with Rs 5,000 for helping in the arrest of a murder accused person.
Vijay Kumar,the auto driver,helped police in rescuing a three-year-old child from the clutch of his kidnappers.
The kidnappers had hired Kumar’s auto to take the child to a safe place but the driver suspected some foul play as he noticed that the child was constantly weeping and crying.
He stopped his auto near a PCR van in Laxmi Nagar and raised an alarm resulting in the arrest of the alleged kidnappers.
Shyam Sahani,the taxi driver,helped police in identifying the accused person involved in murder of a truck driver Balvinder Singh,who is a resident of Punjab’s Patiala city.
