ATS gets transit remand of Yasin

Asadullah Akhtar alias Haddi, who was arrested along with Bhatkal, was remanded in Anti-Terrorism Squad custody in connection with the Junglee Maharaj blasts at Pune.

A special MCOCA court on Thursday granted Anti-Terrorism Squad the transit remand of Indian Mujahideen operative Yasin Bhatkal to take him to Pune, where his custody would be sought in the 2010 German bakery blast case.

Asadullah Akhtar alias Haddi, who was arrested along with Bhatkal, was remanded in Anti-Terrorism Squad custody in connection with the Junglee Maharaj blasts at Pune.

Both were brought to Mumbai last month and were kept in the Anti-Terrorism Squad custody for their alleged role in the July 13, 2011 triple blasts in Mumbai.
