The government Friday asked All-India Services officers to file their Immovable Property Returns (IPRs) by January 31. These returns would be in addition to the new ones which officers are required to file under the new provisions of the Lokpal Act by April this year.

Asking the concerned authorities to harmonise the respective service rules in such a way that the officers are not asked to file same property details twice annually, the government has said it has “reiterated and clarified” that IPRs indicating position as on January 1, 2015 are required to be filed on or before January 31, 2015.

Officers of the All India Services — Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) — have also been asked to file their assets details by April 30.
