Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and NCP leader Ajit Pawar shared dais for the first time on Wednesday after the latter resigned as Deputy Chief Minister last month following reports of large-scale irregularities in irrigation projects when he was the water resources minister.
Pawar quit all ministerial posts demanding the government publish a white paper on irrigation and amid reports of a rift with Chavan.
At public gatherings later,he raised pendancy of files which was seen as an indirect attack on CM.
The two came together on Wednesday at an annual ceremony to felicitate excelling textile mills. They were seen speaking at regular intervals and even discussing a few issues.
When did we part ways? I resigned for my own reasons. He did not ask me to resign. We mutually decided to be available for this function, said Pawar.
Dont try to portray this (sharing dais) as a big deal. CM skipped the topic in his speech.
