An activist has written to the Bombay High Court Chief Justice demanding that action should be taken against the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) for allowing wastage of water in a pre-Holi function organised by Asaram Bapu Trust.
Activist Vishnu Gawli has demanded that a compensation for the loss of water should be paid by Asaram Bapu. He has also sought directions to the government to ensure no further wastage of water like this.

The court has asked Gawli to file a formal public interest litigation in the matter.
Gawli has cited news channels and newspaper reports, which referred to the incident that took place in Nagpur on Sunday.
