THE Nashik unit of the state Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) probing graft charges against PWD engineers Satish Chikhlikar and Jagdish Wagh has sought documents of Oneness,a company owned by Waghs wife Deepali. The agency suspects the company, which has a government contract value limit of Rs 50 lakh, could have benefited from Waghs position.
Documents of all PWD contracts worth Rs 50 lakh and below obtained by the company since 2008,when Wagh was posted in Nashik, will be examined. We have asked the company to submit the documents, said Shashikant Mahavarkar,SP,Nashik ACB.
Meanwhile, the scope of investigation into Chikhlikars assets, which run into Rs 17 crore, has widened to Parbhani,Jalna,Latur and Ahmednagar, where Chikhlikar was posted earlier. We have instructed our offices at these places to investigate Chikhlikars records. His wife Swati is also being questioned, Raj Khilnani,Director General,ACB said.
