22-year-old beaten to death in Dadu Majra

A 22-year-old youth from Dadu Majra was beaten to death with sticks and sharp weapons over an old rivalry near his house late on Monday.

A 22-year-old youth from Dadu Majra was beaten to death with sticks and sharp weapons over an old rivalry near his house late on Monday. The deceased,identified as Alok Nath,suffered severe injuries and died on the way to the hospital.

He was reported to have seven injury marks on his back. The nine accused have been identified as Arjun,Bharat,Gautam,Shera,Krishan,Sanjay,Laddi,Ashok,Sonu and Deepu and have been arrested.

The incident took place at around 9 pm,when Alok was walking towards Sector 38W along with some friends. The main accused,identified as Arjun,reportedly came out of an eating joint in Dadu Majra after having dinner.

Arjun accidentally brushed his shoulder with Alok,which led to an argument between the two parties. Alok reportedly took out a bottle in order to hit Arjun. Later Arjun,accompanied by his brothers and friends,started searching for Alok and tracked him down near his residence.

Alok hid inside a house in order to save himself but was reportedly dragged outside by the accused. He was beaten with sticks and rods in a park outside the house. Arjun is further accused of stabbing the victim several times in the back.

The accused then fled from the spot,leaving Alok to die. The police were informed about the incident and were taking Alok to PGIMER.

However,he succumbed to his injuries on the way. He is survived by his mother,a sister and a brother. The cops have registered a case of murder and furtherance of common intention at the Sector 39 police station.
