Robbers escape from custody,arrested after chase

Two robbers recently arrested by the Kandivali police for allegedly using women to lure men and robbing them escaped from police custody while they were being taken to Nalasopara on Sunday.

Two robbers recently arrested by the Kandivali police for allegedly using women to lure men and robbing them escaped from police custody while they were being taken to Nalasopara on Sunday. The police said the duo,who are brothers,were arrested after a chase of over two hours. The Nalasopara police identified the accused as Raju Parmar (20) and Vijay (23). They told police that they had sold the jewelery to Nandini Jewellers at Nalasopara (East). Two officers and three constables of the Kandivali police took the duo to Nalasopara to recover the booty . Around 8.15 pm ,two officers and two of the constables left the vehicle to meet the showroom owner. The accused were handcuffed and left in the car with constable,Premnath Suryavanshi. Vijay told Suryavnashi he was hungry and Suryavanshi went to buy eatables. “The duo had broken the the chain that attached the cuffs to the vehicle’s grills,” said senior inspector H Pimple.The Nalasopara police was alerted and we nabbed them.”
