MU vice-chancellor meets N-E students

In a bid to allay fears,Mumbai University vice-chancellor addressed students from northeastern states on Saturday evening.

In a bid to allay fears,Mumbai University vice-chancellor addressed students from northeastern states on Saturday evening. “Though you hail from northeastern states,Mumbai University is your second home and we are your guardians,” said Dr Rajan Welukar at an event organised by the varsity’s department of student welfare. Around 20 northeast students studying in city colleges attended the programme.

Welukar also announced that MU will organise a cultural festival for the students in December. “It is being organised to remove the fear psychosis among northeastern youths and to infuse confidence that they are safe here,” he added.
