A team of top doctors from the country will check Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray at Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday. Thackeray has been hospitalised since last Tuesday after he complained of constipation and fever. He was scheduled to undergo several tests related to his ailments. Doctors said he had a stomach infection.
On Tuesday,Dr D Nageshwar Reddy from Hyderabad and Dr Aniruddha Y Phadke will check on Thackeray and advice further medical steps. Padma Shri awardee Dr Reddy is among the top gastroenterologists in the country. The octogenarian,who suffers a heart condition,was previously admitted to the hospital in May.
