Anti-Islam film: CM,HM meet Muslim leaders

CM Prithviraj Chavan told Muslim religious leaders on Thursday he had apprised the Union home ministry of the community’s sentiments about the controversial anti-Islam movie made in the US which has sparked sharp reactions.

CM Prithviraj Chavan told Muslim religious leaders on Thursday he had apprised the Union home ministry of the community’s sentiments about the controversial anti-Islam movie made in the US which has sparked sharp reactions. Chavan,with Home Minister R R Patil,held a meeting with Muslim religious leaders and editors of Urdu dailies. He said the government had asked police to get in touch with the Union government’s Computer Emergency Response Team for removal/blocking of controversial cartoons and films on the internet.

“There is a conspiracy to create communal disharmony by spreading the anti-Islam movie with the help of social networking sites,” Chavan said.
