Even as the 25 per cent reservation for the weaker section under the Right To Education Act is debated,Minister of State for Education Fauzia Khan said as many as 67,306 students had been admitted to schools in the state under this provision.
Replying to a discussion on education in the Assembly on Monday,Khan said the government would set up an effective system to ensure implementation of the 25 per cent reservation under RTE in the state. There needs to be effective implementation and monitoring of the 25 per cent reservation; the state government will set up such a system. We will also ensure that a proper assessment of schools is conducted, she said.
Khan said a master plan had been prepared for schools in the state under the RTE and there was need to create such a plan for minority schools too.
