JHANSI MP and Union Minister Uma Bharati on Friday said mutual consensus could be an option used to resolve the issue of Ram Janmabhoomi and added that Ram temple would be built in Ayodhya when the time comes.
The minister for water resources, river development and Ganga rejuvenation was in Ayodhya to offer prayers at Saryu river and Kanak Bhawan on the occasion of Ram Navami.
Speaking to mediapersons, Bharati said: “The Allahabad High Court’s order has confirmed that Ram Janmabhoomi is in Ayodhya. The matter is now pending in the Supreme Court but mutual consensus between all parties could be an alternative to resolve the matter.”
Speaking on the Clean Ganga project, Bharati said her ministry has drafted an action plan to clean the river and “results will be visible from October”. She added her ministry has also taken up cleaning of Saryu and other rivers after starting work on Ganga.
Asked about BJP’s face for the 2017 polls in UP, Bharati said: “Every party worker is BJP’s face but the decision about a chief ministerial candidate will be taken by the national leadership at an appropriate time.” Earlier, she attended a Ram Janmotsav programme in Lucknow, organised by the VHP.
