As BJP-led NDA government completes two years in power, PM Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed a gathering in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur highlighting the achievements of the government under his leadership till now.
From ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao’ scheme to ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign, Modi went on giving the report card of what the Centre has done till date and also gave a road map of what is to be expected in this term.

# Earlier states used to get 35 per cent of total funds, now they get 65 per cent of all central funds.
# Over 1 crore people gave up their LPG subsidy. At least 5 crore poor people to get LPG connection in next three years.
# Be it at Central level or at state, retirement age for doctors will be increased to 65. Pregnant women will be treated for free, one day every month.
# ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao’ scheme is meant for every single Indian irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

# ‘Swachh Bharat’ mission is not for the rich, it is for the poor. Because if they fall sick, they stop earning. And they spend 7000 per year on a sick person. If there is cleanliness, this can be prevented.
# In 2014, sugarcane farmers were in Rs 14,000 crore debt. I warn sugar mills — don’t hold back dues to sugarcane farmers.
# Development is answer to all problems; that’s why my govt is observing ‘vikas parv‘ and ministers will give you account of their work.
