UNION MINISTER of State Ramshankar Katheria said on Monday that former BSP leader Swami Prasad Maurya would soon join the BJP. Maurya, however, denied any such move and said he had not met anyone, and people should refrain making such statements.
“Swami Prasad Maurya bahut jaldi BJP me ayenge. Aur bhi kai log aayenge kyun ki BSP me ticket ke Rs 5 crore dene padte hain (Maurya will join the BJP very soon. Many others too will join the BJP, as the BSP takes Rs 5 crore for a ticket),” said Katheria.
Replying to a question on saffronisation of education, he said: “Arey bhagwakaran Hindustan me nahi, to kya Pakistan me hoga.” He added that ‘bhagwa’ stands for all those who worship ‘bhagwan’.
Meanwhile, denying any talks with the BJP, Maurya said he was not joining any party. “My next step will be based on the decision of my supporters. I have called a meeting on July 1. We will decide whether we will be forming a new party or will join another political party. As I am not sure what I will do, I suggest that people avoid making any comment about my next step,” he said.
