External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday gave a fitting reply to Pakistan and it’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for interfering with India’s internal matters and trying to ‘destabilise the situation in the Kashmir valley’. Swaraj issued a statement in which she lashed out at the neighboring country for praising slain Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani, whose death has brought the valley to a boil. While authorities have been trying to control the situation of unrest in Kashmir, the continuous remarks by Pakistan are somewhere leading to a malicious propaganda against India.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had called Wani a martyr and accused India of human rights violations in the valley. The country also observed a ‘black day’ on July 19 to mark the alleged atrocities by Indian forces subjected towards Kashmiri youth. The 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed has also been actively campaigning against India provoking the youth in the valley to take up arms against authorities. Saeed had recently led a ‘Kashmir Caravan’ from Lahore to Islamabad in Pakistan and had also said that he would march towards Jammu and Kashmir for the ‘freedom of Kashmiris’.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj took on Nawaz Sharif after he said in a statement that ‘they were waiting for Kashmir to become a part of Pakistan’.

Sushma Swaraj’s remarks are the strongest statement so far by the Ministry of External Affairs in the wake of Pakistan’s statements on Kashmir. Islamabad has been reaching out to the international community over the last two weeks and even observed a Black Day earlier this week.
