Social justice award for Nitish Kumar

Nitish Kumar has been chosen for the K Veeramani Award for Social Justice 2015 for his contribution towards social justice as Chief Minister. The award is given away by Periyar International, a Chicago-based voluntary organisation.

The date and venue of the award function are yet to be decided. During his visit to Delhi in the first week of February, Nitish would meet some members of the award committee and take a call on the venue, from among Patna, Delhi and Chennai.

JD (U) national spokesperson K C Tyagi told The Indian Express: “We are overwhelmed.”
