In a complaint to the police, the Sanatan Sanstha has alleged that a vehicle carrying its followers was targeted with a “petrol bomb” late on Monday night.
“However, the petrol bomb fell short of the vehicle… Before we could respond, the attackers escaped,” said Sanstha managing trustee Veerendra Marate, adding that in another incident the same night, some miscreants threw stones and glass bottles at a supporter’s vehicle.
“The act is terrorist in nature as explosives have been used,” said Marate, demanding a probe by the NIA.
Confirming that the Sanstha has filed a complaint, police said the matter is being investigated. No arrests have been made so far.
