Actor Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan-Sharma’s apartment in Bandra (W) in Mumbai was robbed of cash and valuables worth Rs 3.25 lakh, the police told the Mumbai Mirror. Arpita’s Pacific Heights flat is a few minutes drive from the superstar’s own home.

Apart from cash worth Rs 2.25 lakh, a 10 gm gold coin and designer clothes were also stolen, the paper reported.

The actor’s sister and her husband, Aayush Sharma, were traveling abroad when the robbery took place, according to mid-day.com. They found out about the robbery after they returned from their holiday on Monday.

“We are looking for a maid named Aafsa, who was working for the family. She has been missing since July 30, and we suspect the theft must have taken place a lot earlier than Sunday,” an officer from Khar Police Station is quoted saying by Mumbai Mirror. A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code Section 381 (theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of employer).
