In A bid to help seamless integration of areas and people following the transfer of enclaves between India and Bangladesh, the Cabinet on Wednesday cleared the rehabilitation package and upgradation of infrastructure of the Bangladeshi enclaves and Cooch Behar district. This was done following the receipt of two proposals from the West Bengal government.

Besides, a variable cost of Rs 107.49 crore is likely to be incurred for the rehabilitation. The actual variable cost would depend upon the actual number of families returning to India,” the government stated.
