After Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014, within a short span of time he launched the portal MyGov.in to set up a system where a regular citizen of the country could connect with the Prime Minister’s Office and share their ideas or suggestions for good governance.
Since then, PM Modi has invoked MyGov on various occasions, including his monthly radio interaction ‘Mann ki Baat’ where he is heard asking for feedback from the people by accessing the website.
Now, taking a step forward, PMO is giving a chance to regular MyGov users to interact with PM Narendra Modi in a townhall event which is scheduled to be organised at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex in New Delhi on August 6.
Chief Executive Officer of the website Gaurav Dwivedi said on Thursday that participants will be selected from the list of regular users on MyGov.in depending upon their ideas, level of engagement, questions and suggestions.
He also informed that the process to shortlist the participants is already in progress. Apart from discussion and interaction with PM Modi, the townhall participants will get to further contribute to the enhancement and development of government’s citizen engagement platform.
Reportedly, there will be sessions to invite ideas from the users through contests on design innovation, brainstorming of ideas and discussion on improving user experience on the website among others.
This is going to be first-ever townhall style meet by PM Narendra Modi where a new app focused on connecting users with the PMO will also be launched.
