The Opposition on Monday disrupted the proceedings in the Rajya Sabha by raising slogans over the Uttarakhand issue. Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that a mockery of the Constitution can’t be tolerated, adding that since the past one year the ruling party somehow or the other is trying to make sure the proceedings do not take place (Saal bhar se dekh rhe hain ki kisi na kisi tareeke se kahin na kahin ruling party ki taraf se prayas kiya jata hai ki sadan na chale).
He further said, “We know the way in which an elected government in Arunachal Pradesh was made to crumble.”
