No FIR registered over ‘morphed’ video of JNU event: Govt

The minister said a few results from the forensic lab are awaited and the investigation is in progress.

Delhi police has not registered any FIR in connection with the ‘morphed’ video of the controversial February 9 event at JNU where anti-India slogans were allegedly raised, government informed Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

“As reported by Delhi Police, no FIR has been registered as no evidence has come on record in this regard,” Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Chaudhary said in a written reply.

Samajwadi Party MP Neeraj Shekhar had sought details of FIR registered against those who had ‘morphed’ the video of the JNU event.
