Following Nawaz Sharif’s speech at the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, Ministry of External Affairs responded strongly to the statements made by the Pakistan PM. MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted out in response to Sharif’s speech at UNGA through the official Twitter account of the ministry saying that Pakistan PM Sharif was “in denial of Uri terror attack”.

Nawaz Sharif in his speech had hailed slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, to which the MEA spokesperson alleged Pakistan of “glorifying terror” and showing its “attachment to terrorism”.

Vikas Swarup also responded to Sharif’s claims that India posed “unacceptable conditions to dialogue”, tweeting that India’s only condition is ending terrorism.
