Asking “100 crore Hindus” to get ready to build a grand temple at Ayodhya, VHP leader Praveen Togadia Sunday said he had full faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi to deliver on the poll promise made by the BJP.
“Ram temple is our right, not alms. If we are given it with love we will accept it with love or else we will wrest it using people’s power (janshakti). If Hindus could demolish it (Babri mosque) we can build a temple too,’’ Togadia said while addressing a “dharmasabha’’ in the communally sensitive Chhola locality of Bhopal Sunday.
Describing Modi as his childhood friend, Togadia added: “Atmosphere is getting conducive for building the temple…One Gujarati, Sardar Patel, built the Somnath temple without approaching any lawyer… Narendra Modi, another son of Gujarat, is of firm resolve. I’m sure there will soon be a law (to build the temple), if needed by calling the joint session of Parliament.”
