STATING that none of the parties in the state have addressed the sacrilege issue, the villagers of Buddh Singh Wala at Baghapurana in Moga have banned politicians from the village. “Akali, Aam Aadmi Party atey Congress leaderan da pind vich auna sakhat mana hai. (There is a complete ban on the entry of Akali Dal, Congress and AAP leaders into the village),” reads a board placed at the village.

Major Singh, the village sarpanch, said: “Why are we blaming SAD alone? No party has worked seriously to address the issue. So we have banned the entry of politicians from all three parties. When people of the village don’t want politicians to enter, I am no one to oppose them”.
