Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the public for the first time ever since Uri attacks took place. He started his address in Malayalam and said, “When we think of Kerala, we think of God’s Own Country, it has an impression of purity and holiness.” He is addressing the nation at the backdrop of a three-day BJP conclave which is ongoing in Kozhikode. PM is on a two-day visit, where he will participate in the National Council meet.
PM Modi slammed Pakistan for exporting terrorism across the world and said, “While India exports software, Pakistan exports terrorism across the world.” Meanwhile, BJP President Amit Shah has said that the Modi government has successfully implemented the dreams of Deendayal Upadhyay. Earlier, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu had addressed a public rally in Calicut where he said that under Congress rule, policy was PM presides Madam decides, but now it is PM presides and team decides. “For us, nation first, party second and individual last,” added Naidu.
As per reports, the Uri attacks issue dominated the first day of BJP conclave. PM Modi will also be speaking with the nation through his monthly radio broadcase ‘Mann ki Baat’ on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi met with the Indian Army, Navy and the Air Force Chiefs of Staff at his official residence in New Delhi.
