BJP’s UP vice president Dayashankar Singh had condemned Mayawati’s ticket distribution policy saying she offers ticket in lieu of money which is worst than a prostitute. He later apologised for his remarks.
Reacting sharply to the remark, Mayawati said, “The nation will not forgive BJP for this. There are war of thoughts and ideas in the House, but never have I used derogatory words against anyone ever.”

She also said that the derogatory remark only shows BJP’s frustration over growing public support to the BSP. She demanded the arrest of Singh and said if people get violent and something happens, it will not be on her conscience
Senior BJP leader and Finance minister Arun Jaitley condemned Singh’s remark and said he will personally look into the matter.
“I am grateful that Arun Jaitley ji and other leaders in the House have supported me,” said Mayawati.
Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 11 am Thursday.
