Suspended AAP MP Harinder Khalsa from Fatehgarh Sahib who complained to Lok Sabha speaker Friday alleging Mann comes drunk to the House, told The Indian Express that the party chief knew of Mann’s “drinking problem”.
“Not only me, in fact all AAP leaders including state convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur and others complained to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, not once but multiple times.

We told him clearly that this guy drinks. Assi keha si eh party layi pangey khadey karuga (We told Kejriwal that he will create troubles for the party). But why would Kejriwal take any action against his blue-eyed crowd puller? All Kejriwal wants is votes and power. He was simply least bothered and never took this matter seriously.

I was suspended from AAP last year but this issue is on since Lok Sabha polls 2014. Each and every AAP leader knew how Mann arrives drunk at public programmes and we all complained to him,” said Khalsa.

Asked if he himself tried speaking to him, Khalsa said, “Many times. Not only me, but each one of us in AAP tried to make him understand and convince that he should stop having alcohol. At least, while attending public events. He could not be convinced though. Thus, I had no option but to seek a change in seat from the Speaker.”
