Kolkata: Man returns from ATM empty-handed, suffers heart attack In Howrah, a woman allegedly jumped to her death from her balcony.

A 40-year-old man died of a heart attack moments after returning empty-handed from an ATM in Rajabagan Port Friday. According to police sources, the deceased, identified as Sheikh Islamuddin (40), went to an ATM in Metiabruz and stood in a queue for several hours.

After a while, he started feeling uneasy and asked his son to stand in his place while he returned home at around 7 am. Doctors declared him dead at around 10 am. Sources said Islamuddin, a tailor, had been disturbed since the note ban announcement. The family has not approached police or officials.

In Howrah, a woman allegedly jumped to her death from her balcony. Her husband was later arrested under murder charges and it was rumoured that he killed her after she returned empty-handed from an ATM. However, police later clarified that she took her life over personal issues.
