Minister of State for External Affairs General V K Singh on Monday said that his “blood boils” when anti-national activities happen in an educational institute that is funded “by taxpayers’ money”, and that people abusing the nation are “traitors”.

“If there is any anti-national activity in any such institution, where education is being provided by taxpayers’ money, then for someone like me — who has worked in the Army — my blood boils. If you look at the fees of JNU and the hostel expenses, (you will see) there is heavy concession,” Singh said in Sikar. “You consume the nation’s foodgrains, reside in the nation and obtain education here; even then if you abuse the nation, then you are a traitor,” he said.
