A day after the news of resignation of three ABVP office-bearers in JNU emerged, JNUSU Joint Secretary (ABVP), Saurabh Sharma told ANI that the organisation has not received any official resignation from the students.

The three students of JNU had announced their resignation from ABVP citing “difference of opinion” on the “current JNU incident” among other issues. Criticising the Centre for “unleashing oppression on the student community”, they said they cannot be the “mouthpiece of such a government”.

Though the three had made this announcement over Facebook, Sharma said ABVP has received no official resignation from either of them and that they are still members of the BJP-affiliated party.
