BJP seeks case against J&K MLA Engineer Sheikh Rashid

BJP Thursday demanded that Independent MLA Engineer Sheikh Rashid be booked for “assaulting” BJP workers in south Kashmir’s Pulwama. Locals said the MLA and his supporters had staged a sit-in outside the DC’s office Wednesday to protest against the killing of a civilian. When they started raising slogans against PM Narendra Modi, BJP workers clashed with them.

BJP media in-charge Altaf Thakur said: “We demand that a case be registered against Rashid for the character assassination of PM Modi.” Public Relations Officer of Rashid, Inam ul Nabi, denied BJP’s allegations.
