For the second day on Sunday, AIADMK cadres greeted the news of Jayalalithaa being shifted to special room by offering special prayers and celebrating by distributing sweets.
Jayalalithaa was shifted to a private room of the Apollo Hospital yesterday, nearly two months after she was admitted to the critical care unit with complaints of fever and dehydration.
Later, the Hospital said she was being treated for lung infection and added she was put on a comprehensive line of treatment including antibiotics, respiratory support and passive physiotherapy.
A team of doctors of Apollo, Dr Richard from a London hospital and specialty doctors from AIIMS Delhi attended on her.
