The Congress alleges that the court summons to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul is political vendetta. Will you deny that?

See, there is no involvement of the government in this case. Nor does the party have any role in it. This is an issue between two individuals – the Gandhis and Subramanian Swamy. This case is the Congress’s latest attempt to disrupt the country’s development.

Are you saying the Congress offensive is intended to disturb the government’s reforms agenda?

The Congress just does not want to see the country’s development. It is unfortunate. The Prime Minister had invited them to have a consensus on GST.

So you feel the larger objective of the Congress’ aggression is to block GST?

The Congress does not have any other issue against the government. The party has been searching for an issue in the last 17, 18 months. They could not get anything against the government as we performed well. So they adopted a manufactured agenda and fabricated issues against the government.

Sonia Gandhi has remarked, ‘I am not scared because I am Indira Gandhi’s daughter-in-law.’

This type of arrogant attitude is not good for any party — be it the Congress or the Gandhis. This will be bad for the country.

The Congress argues that while cases against the BJP leaders are disappearing, the party is using its leader Subramanian Swamy to go after the Congress leadership.

The BJP has more than 10 crore members. The party has no gag order on its workers for what they do. How is a party responsible for actions of its members? The BJP has no need to have any role in this case. It will be good for the party, Soniaji and Rahul Gandhi if it gets settled in the court itself. You cannot harm the public for judicial procedures.
