International Yoga Day: 24 foreign nationals too take part in event in Chandigarh

The foreigners comprised travel agents, tour operators, and journalists, who had come all the way from Italy, France, Germany and New Zealand, performed yoga in a block earmarked for them.

A group of 24 foreign nationals participated in the International Yoga Day Tuesday. The participants were invited by Ministry of Tourism with an aim to promote yoga in India.

The foreigners comprised travel agents, tour operators, and journalists, who had come all the way from Italy, France, Germany and New Zealand, performed yoga in a block earmarked for them.

Mitchell Dolin, a tour operator from New Zealand, who came her for locating yoga retreats across the country, said, “It was a wonderful event and I am totally impressed with the way it was organised.”

Anna, a German and a yoga practitioner said, “Yoga gives you peace of mind. More and more people are taking to yoga, which is a very good sign.”
