Issues concerning Centre-State relations, internal security, education and mechanism for providing subsidies, benefits and public services will be discussed during a meeting of the Inter-State Council at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the 11th meeting of the council, with Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of all states expected to take part.
The council is meeting after almost 10 years.
Among the issues that will be taken up during the meeting will be consideration of the recommendations of the Punchhi Commission on Centre-State relations, use of Aadhaar as an identifier and use of Direct Benefit Transfer to provide benefits, according to a Home Ministry official.
