Indian visitors to face strict monitoring in Pakistan: Report

The Interior Ministry has directed four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, to "monitor the activities of foreigners, especially Indians, who visit Pakistan", an official was quoted as saying by the Geo TV.

Pakistan will subject Indian visitors to “strict monitoring”, days after the country claimed to have arrested an alleged “Indian spy”, according to a media report.

The Interior Ministry has directed four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, to “monitor the activities of foreigners, especially Indians, who visit Pakistan”, an official was quoted as saying by the Geo TV.

The ministry has also directed Gilgit Baltistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to follow the new orders. The order comes days after the Pakistani military claimed that they detained an Indian ex-navy official in Balochistan on charges of spying.

Indian government has categorically denied that he was involved in subversive activities in Pakistan on its behest.
