Himachal Road Transport Corporation employees go on a two day strike
Over 8000 employees went on strike demanding pension benefits and other issues.

The Himachal Road and Transport Corporation (HRTC) went on a two day strike starting Tuesday morning over several demands, including regularisation of contract staff and protection of pension benefits.

Even as the Himachal Pradesh High Court called the strike as “illegal” and directed the employees to refrain from participating in the demonstration, nearly 8,000 employees went on the strike that would keep over 2,800 HRTC buses off road.

As many as 11 HRTC unions have formed a joint action committee, demanding roadways statues and many other demands.
As per reports, transport employees have also threatened to stop the operations of chartered and other state roadways buses till Wednesday night.
