The second phase of the Jat quota agitation will be held in the remaining districts in Haryana from June 10. At present, no sit-ins are being organised in six districts of the state.
On Wednesday, Jat protesters held their agitation in 60 places in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a gathering in Muzaffarnagar, president of Akhil Bharatiya Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti Yash Pal Malik claimed that the BJP got divisions created between Jats and non-Jats in the state by using its MP.
He said more than 600 youths were arrested and more than 2,100 cases lodged. “Jats across different states are protesting against this,” he said.
