Goa’s Deputy Speaker Vishnu Wagh has been admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital in Panaji after he suffered a cardiac arrest.
“Wagh is admitted since last night in the hospital due to a cardiac problem. A team of doctors is attending on him. He is under observation right now,” Dr Sunanda Amonkar, Medical Superintendent, GMCH told reporters.
The journalist-turned-BJP leader representing St Andre constituency was attending an Independence Day event at Kala Academy in Panaji on Sunday evening when he complained of chest pain. He was immediately rushed to the GMCH.
Wagh had suffered a cardiac arrest on May 15 this year when he was attending a public function to celebrate birthday of BJP functionary Anil Hoble. He has undergone angioplasty and had recovered since then.
