To make the proposed ”Million March” of Hurriyat Conference (G) successful on the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing a joint rally of the PDP and BJP in Srinagar, Geelani has asked people to use internet, social networking sites wall paintings to publicize about the march.
Geelani had approached government seeking permission for the march at Tourist Reception Center Ground that is only few hundred metres away from the venue where Prime Minister Modi will be addressing a rally.
Sources, however, said that Geelani along with other separatist leaders will be detained ahead of PM’s visit as government doesn’t want to take any risk.
On Saturday Geelani chaired a meeting of Hurriyat and asked youth to propagate about the march. He also asked leaders of his faction of Hurriyat Conference to make the Million March program successful.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Home Affairs has asked state government to keep eye on the activities of separatist leadership. Considered as departure from the past, separatist leaders instead of calling shutdown and civil curfew has not extended strike call in the Valley instead announced a Million March on the same day.
Prime Minister Modi will address a rally at Sher-i-Kashmir stadium Sonwar on Saturday and there is every possibility that Prime Minister will be announcing a big package for the state and for the flood affected people.
