Dhirubhai Ambani, Ajay Devgn, Saina to get Padma awards today

While 43 people will receive the awards on Monday, the rest of the awardees, including actors Rajinikanth and Priyanka Chopra and tennis player Sania Mirza, will be given the honour at a separate function to be held next month.

Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani will be posthumously conferred the Padma Vibhushan by President Pranab Mukherjee at the civil investiture ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.

Among others who will get the Padma awards are former Jammu and Kashmir governor Jagmohan, actors Anupam Kher and Ajay Devgn, and badminton player Saina Nehwal.

Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, renowned dancer Yamini Krishnamurti, former CAG Vinod Rai, film maker Madhur Bhandarkar and chef Mohammed Imtiaz Qureshi, too, will be honoured at the function during which five Padma Vibhushan, eight Padma Bhushan and 43 Padma Shri awards will be conferred.
