Seven children sustained minor injuries as their school van rammed into a verge and overturned on National Highway 1 in Alipur area of outer Delhi this morning. Police said the accident occurred at the red light on the NH 1 near Khampur village when the school van carrying students of Jain Bharti Senior Secondary School at Budhpur, hit the central verge on the road around 7.30 am.

The van was coming from Lampur village after picking up 12 students of the school. All the children were sent to Satyawadi Raja Harish Chandra Hospital in Narela where seven children were treated for minor injuries, said a senior police officer.
Police have seized the van and apprehended its driver Anil, 36, who belongs to Lampur village, he said.
