Congress delegation led by Bharatsinh solanki to meet Sonia Gandhi on January 11

State party chief would also brief Sonia Gandhi about party's plans to implement the late Rajiv Gandhi's ideologies with regard to the panchayat raj system in the districts where the party has come to power.

State Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki will be leading a delegation of over 60 district and city level party leaders in Delhi to seek “blessings” of party supremo Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on January 11.

Among those in the delegation will include all the 23 district panchayat presidents, 20 vice-presidents, leader of opposition from six municipal corporations and 33 district party presidents.

State party spokesperson Manish Doshi said that the party president was taking the delegation to Sonia Gandhi after excellent performance of the party in panchayat and municipal elections. He would seek blessings of the party chief for the forthcoming assembly elections.

Doshi said that the state party chief would also brief Sonia Gandhi about party’s plans to implement the late Rajiv Gandhi’s ideologies with regard to the panchayat raj system in the districts where the party has come to power.
