Chhattisgarh Police Wednesday called Dantewada-based journalist Ajay Patel for questioning in connection with the IED blast that left seven jawans dead in the district on March 30.

Senior police officers, however, said Patel, a stringer based out of Bade Gudra in the district, has not been arrested. They added that a call was placed to him two days ago, asking him to come to the police station, since his name had cropped up in the course of investigation.

Dantewada SP Kamlochan Kashyap said, “There is no question of an arrest. Patel has been released from the police station.”
