Central University of Rajasthan, TCS to sign MoU on big data course today

The proposed MSc programme includes subjects of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science and two teachers of the university are being trained by Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, for this purpose.

The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will collaborate to offer a two-year programme in Big Data Analysis, for the first time in the country, and will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to this effect on Tuesday.

To be launched within the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computational Science of the University, the course is designed by eminent experts in Data Science and Data Analytics from academia and industries with initiative from the TCS. The proposed MSc programme includes subjects of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science and two teachers of the university are being trained by Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, for this purpose.

“With recent advent of Data Science, Data Analytics and Big Data, there is an increasing demand of trained professionals in the area of Big Data, and hence this course,” said university spokesperson Anuradha Mittal.
